16 days left!

The quarter officially ends on March 16. Holy crap! This week I got to register for Spring Quarter. I get to do the last 4 fashion classes plus Design II (drawing, unfortunately, had a wait list for the M/W days). In all of my current classes, we have started on our finals.

In styling, we're doing a fairytale photoshoot. My group has decided on Romeo and Juliet.

In History, we are doing a "notebook" where we choose three modern fashions that are inspired by every civilization we study in this class.

In English, the final essay is on a current epidemic and mine will be on vaping. I'm the only one in my group, but hey, at least my essay will be unique. I'm allowed to do 101 work (I'm in a transition class where you can get full credits for 99 or 5 credits for 101) so my essay has to be around 900 words. This will be the longest essay I've ever written.

So much work, but I hope it's all worth it! I'm looking forward to break. I want to go on adventures, hang out with a friend(s), and make things to sell on my etsy shop.

Sewing Projects

Current-
Still slowly working on Odette and my 1903 corset.

Finished-
Fixed a few past projects and a Silk Dupioni halter top.

Planned-
Stuffed guinea pigs, Silk Charmeuse 70's wide-legged/bell bottom pants.

-----------------------

Halter top: pattern used was Burda Style 6968 and fabric use was Dupioni Silk I had in my stash. This pattern was easy to make and quick.

Bell bottom pants: pattern used was Simplicity 5641 and fabric is corduroy. I don't remember much about the sewing process since it's been a few years, but I did have to take it in and I recently redid the fly. I think the hem is around 40" to 44" around.

Hat: made from a free pattern on Ravelry; yarn was made and dyed by my mum, but knitted by me.

 -------------------------------

Preview of the Silk pants I plan on making. I'm going to make the view in the back since my fabric isn't wide enough for the other.

Untill next time,
